Tutor Bio

Hi there!
I'm an experienced French tutor, native speaker of both French and English.
I have experience in giving one-on-one tutorials in French to British children aged 6 years old through to GCSE Level, teaching grammatical rules, vocabulary and how to develop writing and conversational skills, and I greatly enjoy the experience.
I understand the value of mastering languages as a competitive advantage in the workforce, as a tool for discovering and interacting with a vast number of cultures, and as simply really fun.
I am a keen linguist, having grown up speaking French, English and Nepali, and having subsequently learnt Spanish. After having completed my International Baccalaureate with a first prize in French Literature, I went on to study Art History at the University of London, followed by a Masters in Anthropology and Development at the London School of Economics. I have worked in international development in the UK, Nepal and Madagascar in both French and English, and work as a freelance translator.
Learning a language can be tough, especially French with all its rules, exceptions and counter-intuitive spelling! Having to pass an exam in the subject can be an intense pressure for students who already have a lot to juggle. I have helped students through the process in the past, so do get in touch and we can see how best to tailor our lessons to your needs.
